Current and former service members can walk into BayCare Ballpark for free Saturday, Aug. 8, when the Clearwater Threshers host their annual Veterans and Military Appreciation Night against the Tampa Tarpons.

First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.

Every active-duty military member and veteran receives a complimentary ticket, the team announced on X on July 31. Family members accompanying a service member can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.

What's Included: Camo Hats and a Jersey Auction

The evening includes a camo hat giveaway and a jersey auction. The Threshers have not specified whether the hats are limited to veterans or available to all fans.

The Sponsor Behind the Night: Veterans Help Group

Veterans Help Group, a Clearwater-based Department of Veterans Affairs-accredited disability advocacy organization headquartered at 1401 Court St., is sponsoring the night. The group has helped more than 10,000 veterans nationwide and secured more than $500 million in benefits for clients, according to its website. It operates across all 50 states and U.S. territories.

About the Threshers and How to Get Tickets

The Threshers are the Philadelphia Phillies' Single-A affiliate and play their home schedule at BayCare Ballpark. The Tampa series runs Wednesday, Aug. 5, through Monday, Aug. 10.
