Downtown Clearwater’s District hosts a free Halloween costume party with salsa, bachata and live music from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

The family-friendly event takes place along Cleveland Street near Garden Avenue, according to Visit St. Pete-Clearwater’s listing. No tickets are required, and costumes are encouraged.

Music and dancing

Station Square Park will have a DJ and vendors. The main stage at Garden Avenue and Cleveland Street features DJ sets, free beginner salsa lessons and Samba Conmigo dance performances.

Salsa orchestra La Oferta will perform a tribute to El Gran Combo. Dancers of all skill levels are welcome.

Food and drinks will be sold on-site; outside food and beverages are prohibited. Organizers advise allowing time to park in downtown garages or lots and walk to the event.
