The Humane Society of Tampa Bay will open an affordable animal clinic in Clearwater on Monday, Nov. 2, at 2907 State Road 590, Suite 5.

The new clinic follows the organization's merger with the Humane Society of Pinellas earlier this year. Humane Society leaders said the clinic was developed in response to community demand for affordable pet care, according to WTSP.

The organization's stated goal is to help pet owners access medical services and reduce the number of animals surrendered to shelters because of financial hardship.

The clinic will offer vaccinations, wellness exams, flea and heartworm prevention, heartworm testing, microchipping, lab work, treatment for basic illnesses, X-rays and nail trims. Spay and neuter services are expected to be added later.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The clinic is closed Friday through Sunday. Appointments are required, and the organization said it is scheduling wellness visits now. Residents can call 727-797-7722, extension 100, or email [email protected].

The two humane societies announced their merger in December 2025, with the combined organization operating under the name Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Both campuses (one in Clearwater, one in Tampa) continued full operations, according to ilovetheburg.com.

Sherry Silk, the organization's CEO, said in a December 2025 announcement that the merger would "respond faster to animals in crisis, provide greater access to affordable pet care, and deliver a deeper impact in the communities we serve."

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay said on Instagram that since the merger, community members have been asking for affordable veterinary options. The organization said animals too often end up in shelters because families cannot afford medical care.

The new clinic sits near the Humane Society's Pinellas Campus at 3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater.
