Clearwater voters can cast ballots for the Nov. 3 general election starting Monday, Oct. 19, at two locations in the city.

The Countryside Recreation Center at 2640 Sabal Springs Dr. and the Pinellas County Courthouse at 315 Court St., Room 117, will serve as early voting sites. Both are open through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections. Hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, including weekends. Voter parking is available in courthouse parking lots.

Supervisor of Elections Julie Marcus oversees seven early voting sites countywide. Voters can use any of the seven, regardless of where they live in the county. The other five sites are in St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Palm Harbor and Largo.

"Currently, all Pinellas voters are within five miles of an early voting site," the county said in a statement, as WTSP reported.

Clearwater City Council Seat 5 is among the races on the ballot, according to the supervisor's election information page.

What to bring

Voters must show both picture and signature identification, Marcus's office says. Accepted forms include a Florida driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport or student ID. Voters without acceptable ID can cast a provisional ballot, which a canvassing board reviews later.

Mail ballot deadline approaching

Voters who prefer to vote by mail must request a ballot by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Requests can be made on the supervisor's website or by calling 727-464-VOTE (8683).

Marcus's office mailed ballots to military and overseas voters on Sept. 18 and to domestic voters on Sept. 29, according to The Gabber Newspaper.

Under Florida law, all mail ballot requests expire at the end of even-numbered years, regardless of when a voter submits the request. A request made in September 2026 expires at the end of 2026. Voters must renew in the new year to receive ballots through 2028.

Election Day

Voters who skip early voting and mail ballots head to their assigned polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Once early voting begins, the supervisor's office will post wait times for each site on its website.
